The U.S. Postal Service is now raising postage twice each year at rates far above inflation. It's the most mailing rates have increased during the U.S. Postal Service’s nearly 250-year history.
At the same time, Americans are finding mail to be less reliable and often late. Unless Congress takes action, the mail will keep getting pricier, even as services decline. Simply put, the USPS is being mismanaged.
The mail is a critical public service. It’s the only courier able to reach every community across the nation. Unnecessary postage increases are essentially a tax that hurts every American’s ability to stay connected and productive.
We need Congress to put a check on mismanagement at USPS. It only takes a moment to make a difference.
